To arrive and feel at home – this is basically how things work. But as you may still have the one or the other question, we have here put together the most important answers for you. Where can I book rooms at the best rate?

Our best rates are always available on our website – book either direct online or using our enquiry form.

The safety of our guests and employees is something which is very important to us and we therefore ensure that all hygiene rules are observed.

Dining

What are the restaurant opening times in c/o56 Chemnitz?

Breakfast
Our generous breakfast buffet is served in our restaurant from Mondays to Fridays from 6.30 am to 10.00 am. Weekends and bank holidays: 7.30 am to 11.30 am.

Lunch & dinner
The “Lounge 56” is open daily from 11.00 am to 1.00 am. Food served until 10.30 pm.

Vouchers

Where can I purchase a hotel voucher?

Vouchers can be purchased in the hotel or by telephone. If you buy a voucher by telephone, you can pay using credit card or bank transfer. Upon receipt of the payment, we will send you the vouchers. Hotel vouchers can be used for overnight stays as well as in the restaurant.

How do I redeem a hotel voucher?

Please call us before your visit: Tel. 0371 3341 0 or send an e-mail to info@co56.de informing us that you would like to redeem a voucher stating the voucher number and the date of your visit – and your journey can begin!

Rooms

Do rooms have a telephone?

Yes. Please dial (0) to make an external call. If you would like to contact another room, dial the room number, if calling a room on the 0 floor, dial 6 before the room number. Room rates include all national calls which can be made free of charge (excluding Basic Rooms).

Can additional bed linen/blankets or pillows be provided?

We are happy to provide additional bedding and pillows as well as bedding for allergy sufferers upon request.

What should I do if I don’t want to be disturbed?

Simply hang the “Do not disturb” card on your door. Please note that if this sign is hanging on your door rooms will not be cleaned and you will also not receive any messages.

Do rooms have an iron and ironing board?

We can provide an iron and ironing board upon request.

Do rooms have a television?

Our rooms have a flatscreen TV with integrated radio and video text. A radio is integrated in the television. Use the remote control to select the programmes.

Do you offer room service?

Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be served in your room – please contact the restaurant to place an order.

There is a €3 service charge for each booking. Dial 122 or 123.

Do rooms have a safe?

Rooms do not have a safe but you can leave valuables at reception where they will be kept in a safe. You will be provided with a key upon signing for this. Please note that the hotel is unable to assume liability for the loss of any personal valuables and that liability is limited in accordance with German law.

When are towels changed?

If you would like your towels changed daily, please leave them on the bathroom floor and if you require extra contact reception. If you do not want your towels to be changed, leave them on the bathroom hooks.

Do rooms include toiletries?

We are happy to provide shaving sets, toothpaste, toothbrush and sewing sets. Please contact reception. Dial 704.

Is the internet available in the rooms?

Our rooms offer free highspeed wifi. Choose the “c/o56” network, open the browser and select "co56Guest". Then confirm the terms of use and general terms and conditions. You can then use the internet on as many devices as required.

Do rooms have air conditioning?

All rooms are air conditioned and the temperature can be individually regulated using a thermostat. The air conditioning system incorporates a full heating system – simply turn the dial towards + to heat and - to cool.

Do rooms have a minibar?

Maxi bars are located by the lifts on all floors (1-5). The vending machines offer a wide choice of snacks and drinks and accept cash (min. 5 Cent pieces). If you require additional beverages, please contact room service.

Where can I report a technical fault?

If you have a technical fault or cleanliness problem to report, please contact reception for immediate assistance. Dial 704.

Who do I contact if I have lost my room card?

Please inform reception immediately if you have lost your room card. Rooms cards must be left at reception before departure.

When are rooms cleaned?

Rooms are cleaned between 8.00 am and 3.00 pm. If you would like your room to be cleaned at a particular time or you do not require cleaning, please contact reception on 704.

Hotel service

When is check-in and check-out?

Rooms are available from 3.00 pm and must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure.

If you require early check-in or late check-out, please contact reception.

Early check-in from 12.00 noon and late check-out until 4.00 pm are now charged as follows:

For direct bookings at time of reservation €32
If booking at check-in or after reservation €35

Is it possible to have more than one coffee in the mornings?

Free fresh filter coffee is available at the entrance to take out until 10.00 am.

Is there a jogging route near the hotel?

You can jog in the Küchwald forest or by the Schloßteich pond. The route is provided on an A4 map at the main entrance. Here you will also find towels and home-made lemonade for refreshment – help yourself!

Where are the nearest shops?

We recommend the SACHSEN-ALLEE CHEMNITZ where you will find a chemist’s and many other shops. Ca. 3 km / 7-minute car journey from the hotel.

Can I hire a car?

Is c/o56 Chemnitz able to arrange a shuttle service?

Reception can arrange a shuttle service for you, if required, in association with our partners.

How much does it cost to park my car?

Guests can use our underground garage for parking their cars for €14 per vehicle / night. Validate your ticket at reception before exiting.

Free parking is available on the street by the hotel.

Is the c/o56 Chemnitz able to arrange a flower delivery?

Would you like to surprise someone with flowers? Our reception staff are happy to help – dial 704.

Does the hotel offer a laundry service?

A regular laundry service is available Mondays to Fridays – leave your laundry at reception by 8 pm and you will receive it back by 9 am the next day, including on Fridays. Further details provided on the laundry list in your room.

Do you offer facilities for babies and childcare?

To make your stay with your baby as comfortable as possible we offer the following: cots with bedding | babysitter contacts | high chairs. Please contact reception.

Can I book a wake-up call?

We are happy to ensure you get up on time – please contact reception. Our reception staff always do their best to ensure that you are woken on time but we cannot fully exclude technical or human error. Please therefore understand that we are unable to assume liability for any possible losses due to wake-up errors. Compensation claims are not possible. Dial 704

Can I print or photocopy documents in c/o56 Chemnitz?

You can print or photocopy documents at reception. Dial 704.

Photocopy charge: €0.30 per copy.

Can I send faxes or scans?

Please contact reception – there is no charge for sending faxes or scans.

For documents and scans: scanning and sending documents to guest’s mail address is possible. The downloading of documents from a USB stick is only possible if this can be read by the Ricoh printer. External USB sticks may not be used on our network PCs.

How can I send post?

Stamps are available from reception – we can also post your mail for you.

How far are the nearest airports?

Dresden ca. 80 km / 60 mins. by car

Leipzig ca. 110 km / 75 mins. by car

Berlin BER ca. ca. 238 km / 2.5 hours by car

Are pets permitted?

Dogs are welcome at c/o 56 Chemnitz and are charged at €20 per stayv(excluding food).

PLEASE NOTE: dogs are not permitted in the beds!

Can I pay by credit card?

We accept American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard and VISA.

Can I smoke in the hotel?

A limited number of smoker rooms are available. Please state when booking.

There will be a cleaning charge of €150 if guests smoke in a non-smoking room. Guests may also smoke in our smoking areas where ashtrays are provided – these are located at the hotel’s main entrance and on the conference terrace on floor 0.

Is it possible to hold meetings and events as well as private functions at c/o56 Chemnitz?

Whether event room, sun terrace, bar or restaurant: with 386 m² of fully equipped event space for up to 450 guests, c/o 56 Chemnitz offers many flexible options for your conferences, meetings, events and presentations as well as private functions. Do I need an international plug adapter?

If you have an electronic device or mobile which does not fit into our standard European plugs, reception will be able to provide you with a suitable adapter or charging lead.

Allergy sufferers

Are allergy sufferers’ needs taken into consideration?

Please inform our staff if you suffer from an allergy and require special bedding at the time of booking. If you have a food allergy or intolerance and require special meals, please inform our waiting staff.

Emergencies

How can I contact a doctor?

In the case of an emergency please contact reception. Dial 704.

What should I do if I require first aid?

Contact rescue services on (0) 112.

Where are the fire extinguishers?

Fire extinguishers are located on every floor – please see the escape route map for exact locations.

Where is the emergency exit?

The emergency exit to be used in the case of an emergency are shown on the emergency plan on your room door. All guest rooms and public areas are fitted with smoke detectors. If you notice a fire, contact the switchboard and state the location. Fire extinguishers are located on every floor and should only be used for incipient fires. Please note the instructions in your room and on the emergency exits which are indicated by green signs. In the event of an emergency, please also observe the loudspeaker announcements for the evacuation.

Sustainability

Is the c/o56 Chemnitz environmentally friendly?

Environmental protection is something which is very important to us and refillable soap dispensers, variable towel changing, a breakfast buffet which uses as little packaging as possible, waste separation/recycling and much more are matter of fact for us.

You can also help us to save the planet:

Switch off lights and TV if you are leaving the room by removing the key card from the energy box.

Make sure taps are properly turned off.

Use towels more than once.

Use the wastepaper bin in your room for paper and the bin in the bathroom for everything else.

Place empty bottles next to the bin.
